Jeffrey D. Hoffman
Chief Executive Officer
Director
Mr. Hoffman, an accomplished entrepreneur and innovator, joined uBid.com in September of 2007 after establishing a long and winning track record in the fields of on-line auction and retail, software, and entertainment.
Prior to joining uBid.com, Mr. Hoffman established himself as a serial entrepreneur, launching several companies and bringing them to profitability. Leveraging his computer science education from Yale University and his early technology start-up experience, Hoffman was a founding partner in Competitive Technologies, Inc (CTI)., which offered online travel reservation tools sold directly to travel agencies and corporations. CTI was ultimately purchased by American Express. Hoffman was also CEO and founding partner of Virtual Shopping, Inc., a leading developer of patented, proprietary online retailing systems, before joining the founding executive team of perhaps his most notable venture, Priceline.com, where Hoffman held two CEO titles in the Priceline family of companies. For his contributions to the creation of the industry’s first online retailing tools, Hoffman was twice named by the travel and tourism industry as one of its “25 Most Influential Executives”. Hoffman also serves as Chairman of Adapted Sports, a charity organization dedicated to bringing sports and team participation to disabled children nationwide. Mr. Hoffman earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Yale University.

Timothy E. Takesue
Executive Vice President – Account Management and Seller Solutions
President – uBid Inc., a uBid.com Holdings subsidiary
Mr. Takesue joined uBid.com in September 1997 as a Vice-President and member of the founding Executive Team. Mr. Takesue today oversees the relationships and liquidation solutions provided to uBid’s Seller Account Base which as of early 2008 numbered approximately 7,000.
Mr. Takesue was an instrumental part of the Executive Team that: launched uBid.com’s website, helped lead uBid in its successful 1998 IPO offered by Merrill Lynch, it’s subsequent successful sale in 2000 to Cmgi, its purchase from Cmgi in 2003 and it’s subsequent reverse merger in late 2005. During his tenure with uBid, Mr. Takesue has served in various positions, including Vice President of Merchandising and Sales, Executive Vice President-Merchandising, Acting Chief Marketing Officer and Interim CEO. Mr. Takesue has over 21 years of experience in various capacities involving product sourcing, retail management and marketing, mail order product sourcing, merchandising, direct selling product sourcing, and e-commerce. Mr. Takesue sits on advisory boards to a number of start-up companies and charities. Mr. Takesue attended Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan initially as a Merit Scholar recipient.

Miguel Martinez, Jr.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Martinez has served as vice president of finance since February 2005. Mr. Martinez brings over 20 years of financial management experience to uBid. Prior to joining uBid, from March of 1999 to November 2004, Mr. Martinez was senior vice president and chief financial officer with Hartford Computer Group, a leading PC manufacturer, distributor and service company.
Mr. Martinez is a certified public accountant and received a BBA degree from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois and is actively involved in several professional organizations.

Amy Powers
Vice President, Technology
As Vice President of Technology, Ms. Powers defines and executes the technology vision for the enterprise in alignment with strategic business objectives. As part of the Executive Management team Ms. Powers has a key role in developing technology partnerships and relationships.
Previously serving as Development Manager for uBid's seller applications, Ms. Powers significantly enhanced the revenue line for the company’s Certified Merchant program and implemented innovative technological solutions to reduce costs.
Prior to joining uBid in 2003, Ms. Powers worked as a consultant in the retail sector focusing on web-based applications, data warehousing and business intelligence. She holds an Applied Information Technology Diploma from Information Technology Institute, Halifax, Nova Scotia and a BS from Dalhousie University.

Sally Dahl
Vice President, Seller Solutions Center
With a Customer Service Management career spanning 20 years, Mrs. Dahl is uniquely qualified to serve uBid's growing base of online sellers. Sally is instrumental in designing the core set of internet tools and reports for both uBid's Certified Merchant platform and internal Account Managers.
During her six year tenure as uBid's VP of Customer Service, Sally supported uBid buyers and sellers, repeatedly re-setting uBid's high-water mark for exemplary service and support. Over the last six years Sally's focus on service has been reflected in numerous web site redesigns, infrastructure and process improvements and of course delighted buyers and sellers. Prior to joining uBid, Sally built a solid base of experience running customer contact centers for both Capital One and FTD. Sally received her B.A. in Marketing from Lewis University in Romeoville, IL.

Kirk R. Maier
Vice President of B2B
(Business to Business) Solutions Group
Kirk Maier joined uBid in November 2007 with over twenty years of experience in sales and marketing at major technology companies. As Vice President of uBid’s B2B Solutions Group, Mr. Maier is responsible for finding solutions for its partners who have a need to either sell, or purchase large quantities of surplus, end of life, or refurbished inventory.
Prior to joining uBid, Mr. Maier worked at Displaytek where, as a Partner, he coordinated the North and South American product launches for various large global corporations. Mr. Maier was Vice President of LG Electronics IT Branded Division where he ran all commercial and retail sales in the U.S. and developed a new retail/commercial strategy for the IT branded products. Mr. Maier successfully led his team to dramatically increase LG’s sales across large corporate customers and retail customers. Mr. Maier was also Vice President for Samsung Electronics Digital Information Technology Division and has worked for companies like Mitsubishi, Vasco Data Security, and Zenith Data System. Mr. Maier was twice selected by Computer Reseller News as “Channel Chief.” He attended Columbia College and DeVry Institute of Technology.

Theo Brasch
Vice President of Business Development
Mr. Brasch joined uBid in March of 2008 as Vice President of Business Development, bringing with him over 15 years of relationship management and international business experience.
Prior to joining uBid, Mr. Brasch held several positions within The Petters Group Worldwide, most recently as a Business Development Director where he focused on growth and management with Japanese and Korean companies. He also held positions related to international operations, where he was actively involved in development of relationships in Asian markets. As Vice President of Special Projects, he coordinated projects with local and national business partners, both non-profit and corporate. Before joining The Petters Group, Mr. Brasch worked in public service. He served in senior positions on Gubernatorial and United States Senatorial political campaigns. He was also a lead Governors Advance-man during the 1996 Presidential Debates, and coordinated Governors Advance for the 53rd Presidential Inaugural. Mr. Brasch participated in the University of Minnesota Mondale Lecture Series and is a member of the Euromoney International Conferences Group. He is also an associate member of United Steelworkers of America.
