Our Team: Board of Advisors
Mr. Tullman is President and CEO at Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy, a Digital Media Arts college in Chicago, and is the former Chairman and CEO of Experiencia, an educational company that delivers unique, Immersive Learning® programs, as well as the former President of Kendall College.
In addition, Mr. Tullman is General Managing Partner for the Chicago High Tech Investors, LLC and a Board Advisor for Hightower Advisors in Chicago, PrepMe, LLC., and for Mudd Advertising in Iowa. He is a Director of the Rally Marketing Group in Seattle and a member of Mayor Daley's Council of Technology Advisors. He was recently named by Governor Quinn to the newly-formed Illinois Innovation Council. He is also a Trustee of WTTW in Chicago, a member of the Board of Directors of the New York Academy of Art, the Chairman of the Endowment Committee of Anshe Emet Synagogue in Chicago, and an Adjunct Professor at Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Evanston and at the Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago. Mr. Tullman also served as a long-time Director and Board Chairman of The Cobalt Group, as a Trustee of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and as a Director of the Mary and Leigh Block Museum of Art at Northwestern University, and as the lead Director of The Princeton Review and briefly as its Board Chair while assisting in its sale to Bain Capital.
John Walter is Chairman and CEO of Ashlin Management Company, a private investment and management services firm located in Chicago. John is the retired President and COO of AT&T Corporation, a position he held from 1996 to 1997, and retired Chairman and CEO of R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company, a position he held from 1989 to 1996. Mr. Walter has been a Director of Manpower Inc. since 1998 and served as the Non-Executive Chairman of the Company from 1999 to 2001. He is currently a Director for VASCO Data Security, Inc., Echo Global Logistics, InnerWorkings, Media Bank, LLC; and Chairman Emeritus of NorthShore University HealthSystem Foundation (Formerly Evanston Northwestern Healthcare).
Mr. Walter has previously served on the boards of other companies including Groupon, LLC, Deere & Company, Abbott laboratories, Inc., Target Corporation, Jones Lang LaSalle, and served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of SNP Corporation, Ltd. (Singapore). Mr. Walter is currently on the Board of Trustees for Steppenwolf Theatre, Northwestern University, African Wildlife Foundation, and Boca Grande Health Clinic. Mr. Walter earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Management and holds an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
Alex Vetter is Senior Vice President of Sales for Cars.com. As one of the original members of the Cars.com team, he has helped steer the company's growth strategy from concept into a multi-faceted sales and distribution model that spans all aspects of internet marketing, including local, mobile and social media. Through Mr. Vetter's leadership, Cars.com has grown to over 1000 employees and 500 sales executives that serve every local market in the United States. He has operated in nearly every capacity at Cars.com, spanning product development, customer service, training, operations and currently oversees all revenue generating activities for the local online retailer. Through his work, Alex has helped establish a vibrant local marketplace for cars, enabling e-commerce activities with over 18,000 retailers who connect with site users on a daily basis. Vetter received his bachelor's degree from Providence College, where he was a four-year Division I athlete. In 2007, Vetter was named one of the 40 under 40 executives by Crain's Chicago business.
Mr. McCormack founded and served as CEO of McWitt Graphic Communications and was a Founder and Director of InnerWorkings, Inc., which was listed as one of Forbes Magazine's "2010 Best Small Companies to Work For" NASDAQ listed 2006 INWK. Mr McCormack will also begin serving as a director for EZ Links Golf Corp.
Mr. Falcone is the former Vice Chairman/Co owner of General Drug Company, the 11th largest US pharmaceutical distributor in 1997; Omaha Vaccine & American Veterinary Pharmaceutical Companies. He currently is a member of the Board of Regents, Bastyr University, Seattle, Washington; a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and the Presidents Circle, Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
Mr. Hunt is Founder, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of VASCO Data Security International, Inc., and is Chairman of the Midwest Council of TechAmerica, the nation's largest high-tech trade association, former President of Belgian Business Club of Chicago, and a current member of The Economic Club of Chicago. He was recently named by Governor Quinn to the newly formed Illinois Innovation Council. Mr. Hunt also serves on two Advisory Boards at the University of Miami in Florida - the President's Council and the Board of Overseers for Miami's School of Business. Mr. Hunt holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, Malibu, California, where he recently received the Distinguished Alumnus Award, as well as a BBA from the University of Miami.
Mr. Doermer is President of Richard D. Doermer, Ltd., a boutique law firm focusing on family law, and is a member of the Chicago and the Illinois State Bar Associations. He has been involved as an investor in various early stage companies in the biotech, entertainment and software industries, and founded McNabb Nutraceuticals, LLC, a line of natural sun block products, and developed Techbionic, S.A., an agribusiness which specializes in farming, processing, formulating and distributing exotic oils, herbs and botanical products. Mr. Doermer is a Trustee Board member of the Allendale Association in Lake Villa, IL, a Development Board member of PAWS Chicago and a member of the Board of Directors, Executive Committee and First Vice President of the Union League Club of Chicago's Civic and Arts Foundation. He has authored a book entitled Transitions - Helping Children Through Divorce: A Guide for Parents.
Mr. McDermott is a principal of the Griffin Development Corporation, a privately held investment company specializing in alternative investment opportunities and real estate. He has over 23 years experience in nearly all aspects of the commercial real estate industry, including the acquisition, development, management, and sale of significant projects and portfolios and designed software used to analyze projects. Mr. McDermott serves on the board of two companies, including a pay-per-view internet and satellite delivery company. Mr. McDermott attended The Canterbury School and received a Bachelors of Science degree from Northwestern University in Economics and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago with concentrations in finance and accounting.
Mr. Allodi is the Managing Partner of KBA Holdings LLC, a privately-held investment/private equity firm that makes direct investments in early stage and venture-backed companies focused on high-growth markets, primarily in the technology, media, renewable energy and life science sectors. Mr. Allodi is also a Partner of Ridge Partners LLC, which has investments in green biofuels projects in the Caribbean and Latin American region, and is the Managing Partner of Allodi Properties LLC. He is currently CEO of Fig1 Brand Studios, a full service content distribution agency specializing in the creation, production and syndication of original content across all emerging media platforms including: online, mobile, social and gaming consoles. Mr. Allodi was a member of the founding executive team of Portal Software (formerly NASDAQ: PRSF), which brought to market the first real-time billing and revenue management solution for internet communication service providers and was acquired by Oracle Corporation. He sits on several Boards and Advisory Boards of companies, including KBA Holdings, LynxIT, Javalution, mPortal, Inc., Youth World Nation LLC, First National Bank of La Grange and Ridge Dominicana North S.A. Mr. Allodi received his BSFA from Valparaiso University.
Mr. Koenig is CEO of Monroe Capital, LLC, an active member of the middle market and lower market investment community with over $700 million under management. Mr. Koenig is a former President and CEO of Hilco Capital, LP, former partner at Holleb & Coff, and a former attorney at Winstron & Strawn. Mr. Koenig holds a Master of Business Administration from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and a Juris Doctorate from the Chicago Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He is a member in a number of organizations, including, the Turnaround Management Association, the Association for Corporate Growth, and The Executive's Club of Chicago and is a director of the Commercial Finance Association, Mr. Koenig also sits on the Board of Trustees for the Allendale School, the Dean's Advisory Counsel for the Kelly School of Business, and the Board of Overseers for Chicago-Kent College of Law.
