uBid Among Holiday Season’s Top 15 e-Tailers

According to Nielsen//NetRatings Report

CHICAGO, IL and ANDOVER, Mass., January 4, 2001 -- CMGI, Inc. (NASDAQ: CMGI), a leading global Internet operating and development company, announced today that uBid, Inc., a majority-owned operating company and leading auction and e-commerce site, was among the top 15 e-tailers of the 2000 holiday season, according to a January 2, 2001 report by Nielsen//NetRatings.

According to the report, which factored Internet home and work usage for weeks ended November 5 through December 24, uBid.com ranked 13 in terms of number of shopping visits. *As defined by Nielsen//NetRatings, a visit is a single trip to a shopping site, including both home and work PC users.

The Nielsen report also noted that 11 of the top 15 holiday season e-tail sites cited by its measurements were that of traditional retailers, making uBid.com one of four sites listed in the report that has a pure online brand presence.
